Indian Population
India's population is about 1,166,079,217(in 2009) which is about 1/6th of the worlds population,this means there is one Indian out of six people on the earth.And there is report that by 2020 Indian population will be touching 1,331,000,000 mark.Though Indian government has been taking measures to control the growth of population but in vain.72.2% of the population live in about 638,000 villages and the remaining 27.8% live in more than 5,100 towns and 380 urban cities.India's growing population is one of the biggest problems India is facing right now.
